Concept · Accra, Ghana

A West African table.

From the spice stalls to the glaze to the plate in front of you — Ghanaian cooking, served the way it deserves. An upscale dining-room concept.

01 The idea

We cook the way Accra eats — loudly, with fire.

Jollof that people argue about. Fish straight off the coals. Kelewele that hisses when it hits the plate. The food is not shy, so the room shouldn’t be either.

Harmattan is a concept for a restaurant that treats everyday Ghanaian cooking as something worth dressing up for — the same flavours you grew up on, plated and served with intent.

This page is an illustration of that idea: the look, the feeling, the journey from market to table. Every dish name, price, opening time and detail shown here is to be confirmed.

02 Before dawn · The market

It starts with the spice.

Chilli, ginger, dawadawa, smoked pepper — the blends that give West African food its heat and its depth, weighed out and bought by hand. A kitchen is only ever as good as the market it shops in.

03 The finish · The glaze

Then it gets its glaze.

Pepper sauce, palm oil, spice rubbed in and basted on — the last step before anything reaches the pass. It isn’t a garnish, it’s where the flavour finishes.
